DRE WANTS OWED FUNDS FROM THE ROW

Dr. Dre filed papers in U.S. Bankruptcy Court on Tuesday in Los Angeles, requesting documents from Death Row Records to determine how much the label owes him in unpaid royalties, The Associated Press is reporting.

Dre has already tried to sue Death Row several times in various lawsuits. Last month, a California district court agreed to hear his appeal of the bankruptcy court's dismissal of one of those suits.

The former Death Row artist is Citing rule 2004 of the U.S Bankruptcy Code, which can allow a bankruptcy judge to force a company to turn over documents related to their assets, liabilities and financial affairs.

Dre is asking the court to make Death Row hand over the documents by February 29, and to order a company representative to be available for deposition on March 7.

The dispute centers around Dr. Dre's "The Chronic" album, which Dre now claims he should be the rightful owner of after Death Row filed for Chapter 11 protection in April 2006. - HipHopGame.com
