According to Amazon.com, Eminem's new studio album "Relapse" will be in stores December 23rd.
The news is contrary to earlier reports that the album, Eminem's first in four years, wouldn't be released until sometime in 2009.
No details on a single have been released as of yet.
Dr. Dre is expected to handle the majority of the production on "Relapse" with additional production contributions coming from DJ Premier.

RAPPER SUES FOR 5 MILLIE
William Troy McCune, a New York rapper in the late 80’s and early 90’s, is suing the producers of Notorious B.I.G.: Bigger Than Life for $5 million.
In the suit, McCune alleges the producers included footage of him battling Brooklyn legend Notorious B.I.G. without his permission.
“This segment of the Plaintiff (McCune) and Christopher Wallace is shown throughout the video and is a dominant feature in the extras portion,” the complaint reads. “The use of the photograph, image, and likeness of the Plaintiff, in the video by the Defendants, jointly and severally, and acting in active concert was unauthorized.”
Defendants named in the suit include: director Peter Spirer, co-producer dream hampton, Rugged Entertainment, and Aslan Productions.

LIL WAYNE CLOSING IN ON THE MILLION
The magic million is within sight of Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter III." The Cash Money/Universal album continues to lead Nielsen SoundScan's Building chart, released today (June 13). Based on the new tally, the album could sell a million copies by the time SoundScan closes out its tracking week on Sunday night.
Unweighted sales of "Carter" through the close of business yesterday stood at 630,000. That's the largest number the Friday Building chart has seen since it began in September.
The last album to rack up a similar number on a Friday Building chart was Kanye West's "Graduation" (Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam), which posted a 600,000 figure the Friday of its release. "Graduation" would go on to shift 957,000 in its first full week.

50 Cent and actor Val Kilmer have become fast friends while filming "Streets of Blood" in Louisiana, both sharing their love for vintage cars.
Kilmer was reportedly stunned however when 50 bought a 1965 Chevy Impala and gave him the keys, the New Zealand Herald reported.
"Val was shocked. 50 is an amazing guy and incredibly generous," said 50's producing partner Randall Emmett.

Evidence of Dilated Peoples is speaking out against The Los Angeles Times, who recently ran a cover story about the arrest of a notorious Los Angeles graffiti artist, but mistakenly ran a picture of the rapper/producer on the front page.
Police arrested Cyrus “Buket” Yazdani on felony vandalism charges for his daring works of graffiti, including one highly publicized videotaped incident, in which Yazdani is seen spray painting on a Hollywood Freeway overpass.
The mishap occurred after Evidence, born Michael Perretta, who was approached by Yazdani to do a drop [a short promotional word on film] for a clip titled “War 4.”
The promotional words were edited and then featured as the intro of Yazdani’s infamous hair raising YouTube clip, in which he spray paints his tag over the 101 Freeway in Los Angeles as cars speed by.
Since his arrest and the article, Evidence’s image has been featured regularly on television stations like CBS 9, ABC 7, KTLA 5, NBC 4 and other news outlets.
“I only met Buket once when I was asked to do a promo for an internet show, however I’m obviously not him and find it humorous how the media didn't take the time to figure this out before running such an extensive story," Evidence told AllHipHop.com in a statement.
Evidence, who is preparing to tour nationwide on the “Fresh Rhymes & Videotape Tour,” is seeking a full retraction from the various outlets who have mistakenly ran his image and associated him with the criminal acts of Yazdani.
“In my line of work anytime someone asks me for a recorded or live video promo I’m always glad to do it,“ Evidence said. “I have co-signed thousands of Internet, Radio and TV shows as well as various other forms of media. This could have happened to any entertainer, not just me.”
Police accuse Yazdani of spray painting hundreds of freeway overpasses, walls and buses, including one infamous incident in which he tagged a moving bus in front of stunned onlookers.
He is charged with causing over $150,000 dollars in damage.

Rick Ross recently revealed that T.I. will be supplying beats for his third solo album titled Deeper Than Rap.
Ross divulged to MTV that the Atlanta rapper approached him about collaborating on his project which is expected to hit stores later this year.
“I was in the Grand Hustle studio. [Tip] told me he wanted to produce five records for me,” explained Rick Ross. “I was like, 'Wow. It's all good.’ We sat down, and he played some beats for me. It was one of those special moments, 'cause I got so much respect for him as an artist, as a lyricist, as a CEO. Now he reeled me in as a producer. Real talk. Dipset Crew member “Zoo” Thompson was on a recent episode of America’s Most Wanted for ordering a 13 year-old kid to shoot 15 year-old boy Phoenix Garret for selling bootleg Dipset mixtapes.
On June 16, 2005, Phoenix was selling CDs on 144th Street in Harlem, a rapidly gentrifying pocket of the city with lingering attitudes from the “bad old days” when Carlos Thompson and a group of his thug cohorts spotted him on the street. Noticing the name “Dipset Crew” on one of the CDs, Thompson apparently threatened Phoenix, then lunged at him. Police say that, feeling scared, the boy defended himself by pulling out a box cutter and slashing at the older man’s face.
It may have been a fatal mistake.
While Thompson’s accomplices allegedly beat and stomped Phoenix, the enforcer demanded that a member of his legion retrieve a .38 from a nearby car. Phoenix broke away from the pack, and raced around the corner. But the group caught up to him, continuing the beating.
At that point, cops say, the gun was handed to the youngest member of the mob, a 13-year-old named L’mani Delima.
According to NYPD Det. Joseph Condello, Carlos Thompson turned to the 13-year-old that was with them and said, “Shoot him.”
Delima allegedly obeyed, blasting Phoenix with five separate gunshots.
The episode aired Saturday night.
